Group BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) mentioned their next goal.
On December 13, BTS held a special event for the successful release of their eighth single in Japan. BTS' eighth single Mic Drop/DNA/Crystal Snow was released on the 6th.
On December 12, the single ranked first in Japan's weekly Oricon singles ranking chart with 360,000 points. It stayed in first place for six days straight. It was the first for an international artist to pass 300,000 points in all of Oricon's chart history.
On December 14, they appeared on Mezamashi TV and announced their next goal for Japan's promotional activities. Mezamashi TV introduced BTS as a group that had remarkable activities such as being the "first K-pop group to perform in Americas's top three music awards"---and with the release of their Japanese single last week, they are the "first international artist to sell over 300,000 copies in the same week."
They were asked about this year's achievement and RM answered, "There are a lot to be thankful for this year. I think it's all thanks to our ARMY's (fans)."
When asked about their future, Suga said, "Our goal is a Japan dome tour." Jimin added, "I really want to do it." The staff then asked, "In detail, when do you want to hold this? This year or the year after?" Jimin jokingly responded, "Now, I want to do it now."
On the 22nd, BTS will appear for the first time in Japan TV Asia Music Station's year-end special, Music Station Super Live 2017. After concluding all the activities in Japan, they'll be back in Korea to attend the 2017 SBS Gayo Daejeon in Seoul, Guryogu Gocheok Sky Dome on the 25th, and the 2017 MBC Gayo Daejejeon at Kyungido Ilsan MBC Dream Center on the 31st.
They will appear on the show ABC-TV Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve on the 31st to perform "DNA" and "Mic Drop" from their new mini-album Love Yourself: Her released in September. It would not be a live performance as it was pre-recorded when they were invited to the American Music Awards in November.
