The hashtag went up to trend at #5 worldwide (which eventually went up to #1). The powerful action of fans made Jimin himself very curious and thus posted on Twitter, asking what happened since it wasn’t his birthday and all the tweets made him quite confused.
The hashtag #ThankYouJimin started to trend on 23rd and more than 230K tweets that(update: 1.5 million tweets.) made it trend at #5 worldwide!

Jimin himself then wrote down on BTS twitter account: "What is it? HAHA~ I wanted to leave something here then saw this, what is it??" It turned out that 13/01/24 was the date when Jimin first tweeted, and the fans trended the hashtag to express their love for the idol. After reading the explanation, Jimin wrote down again:
“I’m so thankful towards you all...It’s really amazing. Thank you and I love you too.”
in response to the love he received.

It could be said that BTS is the most active celebrity on Twitter with more than 12 million followers. They are the first Korean artist to have 10 million followers and even won Top Social Artist at BBMAs in last May. All of these have proven that their fans are extremely active on social media, that a hashtag could go on trend so easily, showing again their crazy popularity.
